Balthazar is a Belgian indie rock band founded in 2004 in Kortrijk, Flanders. Active for over 20 years, the five-piece has released 5 studio albums on PIAS: Applause (2010), Rats (2012), Thin Walls (2015), Fever (2019) and Sand (2021).

Their second album Rats (2012) was certified gold in June 2013 and won Album of the Year at the Music Industry Awards. Applause received the same award in 2010. Key tracks include "Fifteen Floors" (2010), "Sinking Ship" (2012), "The Man Who Owns The Place" (2012) and "I'll Stay Here" (2010), which featured on the Netflix series The Break (La Trêve).

Balthazar performs in venues of 1,000 to 3,000 capacity in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Italy and Ukraine. The band has performed at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels, Paradiso in Amsterdam, La Cigale and the Olympia in Paris.
