BLANCHE'S STREAMING CONCERT MARKS TOURNAI CATHEDRAL'S RENOVATION.
An historic online concert captured in Tournai Cathedral's choir, commemorating its renovation completion.
Tournai Cathedral aged by a hundred years overnight when a tornado hit the City of 5 Steeples in 1999. Major restoration work has been underway for 20 years to stabilise the Gothic choir, replace the roofing, clean the stone walls and repair the stained glass windows.
To celebrate the re-opening of this prestigious building, the City of Tournai entrusted Shadow to Live to organize a unique and memorable concert with a Belgian artist. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the concert featuring Belgian talent Blanche was recorded in the choir of the Cathedral for local television broadcast and streamed on various platforms for more than 100 000 people all over the world.
The show was directed by filmmaker Arno Partissimo and filmed with 6 cameras and a drone. Shadow to Live took care of every aspect of the event from the booking of the artist to the broadcast solution.
By creating this virtual experience in a very challenging period, we ensured that this very important moment in the history of the City of Tournai was not overlooked or forgotten.
